Coins in Your Pocket Could Be Worth a Mint
by Jimmy Wilson
Little do most people realize that the coins in your pocket could be worth a mint in cash value. There are certain ones that are floating around in circulation that collectors are willing to pay top dollar to own. Taking just a few minutes at the end of each day could be your big payday if you discover a coin that is on the radar list for collectors.
Rare coins and old coins are obvious valuable ones to find, but there are others that are also a good find. Coins that are miss-stamped or ones that have a particular mint mark are also of great value to the right buyer.
Pocket change is usually more of a nuisance to most people and they never take the time to actually inspect the ones they toss aside. Once you get in a routine of inspecting the coins you encounter on a daily basis, you will soon see the payoff is greater than the time you invest in this fun pastime.
It is good to study up on the ones that are worth the find and keep those in mind as you look through your daily collection form a day out and about town. Since coins are used literally countrywide, finding that particular coin that has a very high value is as fair game where you live as anywhere else in the country.
Couches and car seats are another great place to watch for stray coins that get stuck and out of circulation. Trust me, you would believe the fun you can have once you get focused on simple everyday U.S. coins of all denominations.
American Gold Eagle coins are definitely ones to grab, but I don't expect that you will find them in your pocket anytime soon. Although hard to come by, I would still add these to any size collection and watch the value shoot to the top in no time for your collection.
State quarters in a complete set are another good one to collect. They along with the new pennies will grow in value and uncirculated coins will fetch an even higher price. The main focus here is to start a collection and let it mature over time, the values will appreciate and who knows, you may end up with some really collectible ones in no time.

so I reach into my pocket for some small change I reach into my pocket for some small change
I want bones like iron blood like mercury so I can tell you when I'm rising and when I'm sinking in
[CHORUS]
we're gonna take it to the people hey let's drink from the cup share some luck go ahead and laugh cause it don't cost much no, no, it don't, don't cost much
