Disposable Aprons - Very Useful Indeed by Steve Knowles
What a useful concept, a disposable apron! When you think about it, we have disposable gloves, disposable napkins, etc. so why not a disposable apron?
I remember quite a few years ago when we used to go out for dinner with our two young children who would make quite a mess, often the restaurant would offer us a disposable bib that was almost the size of an apron and this made quite a welcome addition to the whole experience.
When you think of all the uses for a disposable apron, we start to see the benefits. Really where anything is likely to be really messy, these are the ideal situations where a disposable apron would most come in handy, particularly if the cost is reasonable.Who wants to have to soak and wash an apron when the job has been with substances that are likely to really stain? Even though the washing powders are wonderful these days with all the added enzymes for stain removal, it is so much easier just to use a disposable apron.
What about paint though for example? When a job involves using something that you simply will never be able to wash out, this is when it is almost imperative that a disposable apron is used. For a start you need protection as you do not want paint, etc. on your clothing so an apron is a must. I remember trying to remove some of the substances that my children used to come home from school plastered in, wondering why they did not get the children to cover up with their school aprons!
Also have you ever thought about the hygiene aspect of a disposable apron? The mind boggles but particularly for cutting up meat or other substances where bacteria might cause a problem? So perhaps the next time you have a job to do and cannot imagine having to clean up afterwards, treat yourself to a disposable apron. You can complete the job, pull off the disposable apron and throw it away, and never have to worry about the mess!
